Explore the World with Ål Folk High School for Deaf
Join us to Japan – a trip you will never forget!
In the 2025-2026 school year, the study trip will go to Japan. We will experience Japan for real, with everything from temples and sushi to manga, neon lights, and hypermodern cities.
About the Study Trip
We have sign language interpreters with us, and this is not a typical tourist trip: We meet local deaf people, visit schools, and have experiences you would never get as an ordinary tourist. We explore how deaf and hard of hearing people live in Japan, and learn a bit of Japanese sign language along the way. It gives us new perspectives and is perfect no matter which program you are in
This will be a journey full of new impressions, new friends, and memories you will carry with you for the rest of your life. The study trip is included in the tuition fees.
